Core Pattern Intensive
Stop Overthinking. Get things moving.
If you’re stuck, this is for you.
We all get stuck in a pattern, usually the same one.
Why does it keep coming back?
Our patterns are our vulnerabilities, our filter for experiencing the world.
They are smart and helpful until they become rigid.
You can think yourself in circles trying to understand it. Analyse it to death.
But like a stray cat you fed. It just keeps coming back.
This work comes at it from a different angle entirely.
It’s Time for Something Different
Instead of telling the story or logically analyzing the pattern and problem yet again, we take an experiential approach. It’s somatic, existential, and relational all at once. And it’s based on family constellations, without the scheduling hassles of an in person group.
We work to understand your relationship with the different elements of the problem using an inner constellation space.
We work blind, meaning you don’t know what is what so you can’t overthink it (though you will still try!). Instead you have to rely on your physical, emotional, and energetic experience, including your reactions and impulses to focusing on or moving toward different elements represented.
We’re not looking for a better explanation, but a different experience of the persistent pattern that allows a shift to emerge that would not be possible with talking or cognitive analysis.
We work with what’s actually happening, not what you think is happening or should happen.
And yes it is a little weird. But if traditional methods were working for you, you probably wouldn’t be here right now, would you?
The Core Pattern Intensive
Two Sessions. $297
Session One: Discovery
We uncover the underlying dynamics of your core pattern and what’s holding it in place.
Session Two: Renegotiation
We work with what emerges to create movement and a different relationship with the pattern. You’ll walk away with practices to reinforce the shift.
Bonus
If you want to continue into deeper work, $150 will be applied as a credit toward Through the Shadowlands when you sign up within 30 days.
patterns We Can Move
No two patterns are alike. Here’s some examples of what this work has surfaced:
-
-
-
Intense overwhelm was driven by an excluded aspect of historical trauma. Giving it a place reduced the overwhelm and made productivity more possible.
-
Anxiety rooted in fear of abandonment. We used somatic exercise to give the brain and body an experience of surviving the worst-case scenario, so she felt less needy in her relationship.
-
A part of herself was missing and remained unavailable due to protective anger. We worked with the anger so she could feel whole and move on after a terrible breakup.
-
Creativity and flow were thwarted by self-editing and control. We created more flexible movement between these elements so she was no longer stuck in inaction.
-
Personal power was stuck at birth. We brought movement through the existential stages of coming into being so more power was available in the present.
-
-
- We aren’t playing in these sessions. They move the needle.

IN Their Words
“When you’re constantly regulating it can feel like sweeping something under the rug. With this work, I’m not only expanding feelings within my body, but I’m expanding my sense of self.”
“In the other work I’ve done, I all of the sudden hit a spot where I can’t dig anymore. That’s where this work really kicked in.”
Why Work With Me?
Hi, I’m Sara Taylor, PhD. Neuroscientist. Former psychology professor. Generational trauma consultant and existential coach.
The people who find me have done significant inner work and are still hitting a wall. Existential burnout. Repeated career or creative sabotage. Overfunctioning and overresponsibility. Guilt around success.
I work at the intersection of generational trauma, family systems, and somatic approaches. In the layers underneath the patterns that keep repeating.
When my clients put down what was never theirs to carry, they can finally move forward.
“It’s so funny how embarrassment of a social interaction can be traced back to a deep-seated fear. This work got me to that root, without really having to get too ‘into it’.”
